Transformers and Roscoe

Hey-

The first couple Roscoe pictures have come in! Lots more to come apparently. Coolio! Here he is looking all fresh and smelly right out of the pool!

Also I seen the Transformers movie last night and wrote review thing bout it.

Check it out here if you wanna!

ok bye!
tOdd

PS. I also found out that Hellmann's mayo out here isn't called 'Hellmann's'... it's called "Best Food's" west of the rockies. Weird.

Hellmans is not Best Foods, its Miracle Whip

I'm telling you try the Miracle Whip its the same thing

Do not eat the Miracle Whip! Stay the eff away from the Miracle Whip...that is some nasty nasty stuff.

Best Foods is Hellman's and Fannie May is See's Candies...and boy do they get cranky when you ask that. But seriously both places are this white paradise filled with chocolate served by old grannies.

If Todd (or anyone else, really) thinks a movie is poop, I don't think "it's a popcorn movie" should automatically give it a free pass. I don't get the deal where everyone now assumes that "summer blockbusters" NEED TO be pointless, badly-written video games. Says who?

Also: Doggie Day Care amazes me. If I had kids, I would hope that THEIR day care staff would be as dedicated as this crew seems to be. Roscoe's all set!

I remember my first (and only) trip back east in 1983. On the telly was the same commercial for "Hellman's" as Best Foods! Totally same one... freaky!

Miracle Whip is ten kinds of delicious. Hint: if you whip it up enough you can drink it straight

I never knew what Hellmanns was until I went to the grocery store with a friend from back east.

I think that the jingle of "Bring out the Best Food's and bring out the best!" just sounds better than when I put "Hellmann's" in there...

Best Foods mayo sounds like a cheapo store brand or something... Hellmanns sounds like an actually real brand... but anyway, i've had both and they kinda suck... Duke's Mayo is really the best... it's got extra salt and extra vinegar or something... but damn, is it good!... but you can only get it in the south... i think.

Best Foods is a massive company that owns most of your favorite brands.

The Best Foods mayo label is exactly the same as the Hellman's label, and the manufactured location is exactly the same.

I remember when I was living in Chicago, this was years and years ago...Best Foods made a huge mistake and they were trying to get some brand recognition for themselves so they had a series of billboards promoting all these household brand names and essentially revealing that they were all under the Best Foods umbrella. well instead of getting them name recognition they freaked people out! the boards all came down within weeks of going up.

Extra vinegar is what makes Miracle Whip taste horrible! Blah.

But I will say that about a year ago for a tea party I made Mayo for the finger sandwiches, first of all it is unbelievably easy, egg, oil and salt...and I have never tasted anything better. But of course it only lasts for 2 days...so you should only make a little.

My husband said the exact same thing about Transformers - Seemed like it was written by 3rd graders. I am calling it Armageddon, minus the asteriod plus cars turning into Robots. The music was even the same in some parts!

I had the same experience with mayo when I used to live in Cali but managed just fine. While you're there, make sure you try In-N-Out Burger (YUM!!!). Also, you can't be in Cali for a month without trying a fish taco from Rubios!

Um...In-N-Out Burger is highly over-rated. Lived in Cali for a year last year and still don't know what all the In-N-Out hoopla is about.

Transformers was one big pro-military recruitment commercial.
But the action scenes were badass and that chick has nice boobers.

In and out burger isn't good at all! I heard all this hype then when I went to San Diego, I was definitely let down!

I've lived in Seattle all my life and when I went to Indiana I thought it was funny they call it "hellmans" not "Best foods"

and fyi, mircle whip is nasty!!! What do they do make it at the local dump?

Todd,

Hellman's is slowly trying to phase out the Best Foods label on the West Coast. Do not listen to what others say about Miracle Whip and Best Foods/Hellman's having the same flavor... clearly these folk have no taste buds. Hellman's is by far superior to Miracle Whip (it's not even real mayonaise).

In response to the Transformers movie, thank god I am not the only one that wasn't impressed. If only they had left out the corniness... if only.

I'm from California, and In-N-Out is a bit over-rated, but it is painfully delicious when you're craving a burger at 1:00 in the morning.

In and Out is great if you order it the right way...they have different off-menu codes.

My Favorite is Cheeseburger Animal-Protien style. they grill the onions in mustard and put it on the burger this is the Animal style - makes it a mess...But then Protien style is no bun but the whole thing wrapped in a big sheet of iceberg lettuce...god awful mess to eat but fantastic taste.

Thier fries though a complete crap...luckily for me here the McDonald's is next door so McD for fries and then In-Out for the burger. I wouldn't eat a McD burger if they were giving them free but good fries.

Ah, having it all here in the CA...LOL

Wow. You really need to learn the irregular exceptions to the good old "i-before-e-except-after-c" rule.

I assume this last poster is referring to "protien," which is spelled incorrectly in the post above it, apparently because the last poster is kind of a dick. Anyway, the good old "i-before-e" rule isn't really a great one. For instance, weird, protein(!), foreign, height, weigh, either, leisure... the whole rule is "i before e except after c AND when sounded as a, as in neighbor and weigh," or some variant on this. And honestly, that's not so easy to remember. Cut people some slack, sheesh.

I was referring to "protien" and "thier." But you came up with some good e-before-i words. Nice! What can I say? I'm an English teacher.

While I am not a big fan of fast food I love In-N-Out Burger. I am not sure what they do different but it does seem to be better. On one of my trips from San Francisco to Lake Tahoe we searched for an In-N-Out Burger so that we could enjoy the whole West Coast Experience. Certaintly not something you can eat everyday but better than the alternatives.

ever so sorry, everyone to offend in my posting switching the i&e.

I can only lay prostrate upon the blog comment floor while performing rousing rounds of willow branched self-flagellation, and pray that this will only begin to atone for my grave and onerous sin.

Glad you were able to catch the point of the info being shared...sigh
