Update on Stuff... and stuff
I can't believe I'm like over half-way done with this here trip! Twelve days and I'll be home to get my dog and see friends! (The trip back I have a 4-hour stopover in Vegas so I think I'm gonna head into town! That's enough time for me to lose everything, right?)
Anyway, I've been going to lots of meetings. Talking to people. Trying to do stuff. I'll letcha know if/when something comes of all that blah blah etc.
Coolio stuff this weekend! Tonight, I'm going to check out Sonic Youth perform Daydream Nation! Silver Rocket! And Sunday night, I'll be in the audience at the live taping for the Comedy Central Roast of Flavor Flav! Yeah boyee! Bringing my red laser pointer and gym coach whistle!
Also, found the dry cleaners and my lost shirts. People suggested going through yellow pages and google or whatever to find locals but I just did the drive around and pray thing. And it totally worked! Favorite shirt is home safe and sound. Thanks for all the suggestions.
And thanks again to everyone who joined the Odd Todd Ducky Duck team. We hit our goal in 2 days! (still going for 1st place). It's all really for a good cause. So feel free to still join up of course! You can win a mill. CLICK HERE!
And that's it for now. No meetings today! I'm off with my camera to find something weird. More Roscoe pics soon I think. And I haven't seen Gilbert around at all.

PS. That spinning woman down there is an optical illusion... I think. This thing is kinda coolio too. And if you're really super bored you can watch My Super Ex-Girlfriend here-- but I think you gots to be pretty friggin bored...

Can't wait until your reunion with Roscoe! The spinning woman doesn't look like any kind of illusion to me ... isn't she spinning clockwise?
Oh wait ... if you look at the shadow below her it's spinning the other way ... eh. Not that impressive. (Nothing against you Todd.)
Careful about Vegas. If you're gonna be an Mclaren or Mcannon or whatever that airport is called, the security is SUPER SLOW. You may just want to hit the slots in the airport, or hit one of the closest casinos to the airport because you may miss your flight trying to fight ur way back in. They had a riot there during the NBA All Star game because peeps were in line for HOURS!!!
If you stare at it long enough you will see her completely change directions. I see her spinning counter-clockwise most of the time tho...
I can see her spin in both directions too. Makes me kind of sick to watch though. Be careful Gilbert doesn't sneak into your suitcase...although he might be a fun "toy" for Roscoe to play with!
Now I know you're cool, tOdd, cuz you name checked Silver Rocket! The baddest song ever, I'm pretty sure. I saw SY on the Daydream Nation tour back in '89, and they just played noise the whole time. I lasted about 45 minutes.

Glad you found your shirt and stuff. Losing the dry cleaners was probably the funniest post in a while. Not so funny to you, but I was cracking up! Is that twisted? I dunno. Anyway, hope you have a good rest of your trip. Come back east with a movie deal and a big fat check in your wallet.

Don't try to get to the strip and back to the airport in four hours. You'll never make it! Just gamble at the airport. It's a pretty fun airport!
I have to agree, depending on the day and time you're in Vegas it could take an hour just to get a CAB. If you can swing it, change your flight to stay over one night, ship all but a carryon back home and enjoy 24 hours of the place. It's a fun people watch even if you don't gamble a bunch. I have a feeling you'd be crazy bananas about the place.
