Not to be like totally rude but doesn't this Bird's Nest stadium thing look sorta like a big toilet seat?

It does look more like a bed pan. But it also looks like a birds nest too. Would be nice if our representatives would use our monay to come up with cool places for the people to go. I say way to go China, at least you have a lot of fun cities and lots for your people to do. Our country and the local governments waste our monay and don't do anything for us.

If they could remove the political rhetoric, and give it the glory the athletes deserve, I might actually give a damn about the olympics. But the B.S. over the Iraqi track team, and Bush using it as another soapbox, just ruins the historical significance!!

I'm actually really curious as to what Mr. Deng's opinion of the Olympics in Beijing IS.

I hadn't watched the opening ceremony (which i understand is most magnificent), but I watched a bit of the Diving and Swimming Relays today. Blew my mind! Oh, the human body and what it is capable of!

actually when i see it from the side it makes me think of a cake, covered in fondant. something the ace of cakes would make for the olympic opening party.
Tonight, I saw an overhead shot of the Bird's Nest for the first time. My immediate thought was that I was viewing a giant bedpan. Hilarious!
