Continental Malfunction
So I was flying into Newark airport coming back from wherever and I was looking out the window as we headed to land. Everything seemed normal but when we touched down we hit the runway. Hard. Really hard. People yelped. Then the plane left the ground for a bit then came down again. Harder. So joltingly hard. I was like, 'Uch! Is this it? Crash time? This is unexpected!' Then the plane just took off. It hit the runway twice and then was climbing up and up. I sat in my seat and looked at other people. They were all looking around. (BTW the guy next to me sneezed every 15 minutes the whole flight like clockwork.)
So the plane climbed and no one said anything. Not one word. Like if we said something it might jinx something or tilt the balance or something. We just had looks on our faces like,... 'That was wrong, right? I'm right about that being wrong, right??' Nobody said anything for like 10 minutes. No announcement from the captain either. Just a weird new whirring noise from under the plane. And inconsistent broken type whirr. An uh oh spaghettio whirr.
Finally the captain gets on and says, 'Sorry bout that folks... we're gonna swing around and try it again... <click>' Swing AROUND and try it again? That's all he had for us? This was not frickin parallel parking!? So I reviewed the safety card as we swung around to see what the hell I needed to do. The head between legs thing? Or is that just for a 'water landing'? I can't believe I was like actually looking at the card seriously.
As we approached I took a deep breath and we touched down on the runway. HARD. AGAIN. I was like, 'Uch!' But thankfully it stuck this time. And everything turned out ok. As we all hustled off the plane. The pilot door stayed closed as we walked out. He didn't come out to say goodbye. I was like, 'You better keep that frickin door closed ya big bad lander ya!'
ok bye!
