Pictures for the Week

Hey! I haven't been taking alot of pictures and wondering why and then I realized it was probably because I was driving around everywhere and going into places. So this morning I got my ass down to Venice Beach to finally see some beach and ocean and stuff and walk around...

First off, I've been seeing these birds on wires all over the place. Somebody's been throwing them up on wires with a combination lock as a counterweight.

Here's another. I think they're pretty coolio...

Anyway, on the way to the beach I passed by one of these 7-11's that were renovated to look like Kwik-E-Marts from the Simpsons. So I stopped in.

It was loaded with Simpsons merchandise junk. Ew.

And fake Simpsons crap...

And that totally wasn't Apu. And the place was mobbed. So I left...

And I made it to the beach! Here were some Baywatchy life guard chicks getting read for work.

And Hasselhoff in the tower hanging out.

That chick was greeting the morning with a big hello...

And there's my footsies in the Pacific Ocean! Finally! The water felt good. Not too cold.

I like beaches... when they're empty.

The Venice boardwalk or whatever has lots of art on the walls. This was umm... BikiniLand. She seemed to be... enjoying her bikini...

This looked kind of coolio. Little dizzying. Not sure why somebody felt compelled to write 'Fuk U Bitch!!!' on it tho.

Here's a Starry Night homage thing with some graffiti smack on it. Looks like the same dick who messed up the one above. Amazing that people can walk around with that high of a level of artistic disrespect.

Here's something that was happy fun haunted creepy nightmare friendly.

Not as nightmarey as this thing...

Of course not all the art was umm.... "good"? (note the spaceship)

I took this funky picture on the sly because I wasn't sure if the artist was into photos. Ballsy with the Mohamed...

I did exactly what it said...

Muscle Beach place early morning. I guess the weight lifters were like sleeping late or something. It was about 10AM.

Then my head got hot so I bought this floppy hat for $8.99. My head is really big so my choices are limited usually. I need XXL. :-(

There were lots of homeless people hanging out.

Lounging on the beach...

Abandoning shoes...

This guy looked pretty badass... then I noticed his Starbucks latte and the intimation level dropped tenfold...

Another non-intimidating intimidator...

I thought this wasn't the best approach to getting change... but I did give him .35 cents for his picture.

On the way back to the car I saw this dude playing so I gave him a couple bucks and asked if I could record him. He said his name was Sheba. He played Hank Williams, Cat Stevens, and the Beatles.

Unfortunately my camera was low on space (gotta get bigger than a 256mb card) so I didn't get a full song.

But here's a taste of Sheba playing Beatles...

More pics to come soon!

ok bye!
