MONDAY'S POET
----------------------------------
Beautiful
By Pamela Lewis
You
tell me I’m beautiful
And I feel beautiful
As a blade of new green grass dancing in a breeze
While the sun beckons it to grow
And in its delight it does indeed oblige
You
tell me I’m beautiful
And I feel beautiful
As the trickling of cool water in a glistening stream
Rushes to satisfy the thirst of millions
And gratefully they are fulfilled
You
tell me I’m beautiful
And I feel beautiful
As a moonlit summer’s night, lights the heavens
While
lovers’ gaze, holding each other snug
Caressing milky dreams of what will be
You
tell me I’m beautiful
And I feel beautiful
And the world is beautiful
This
beauty of which you speak originates not from me
But is the reflection from the spectrum
Which connects our souls to light the way
For the beauty of oneness through the end of time
And all IS beautiful
