My wife's grandmother made this
all the time and brought it to family pot lucks. Now we
make it and bring it.
What was funny was when I went to
a co-worker's house for dinner, and he brings out the
much touted "Grandmas
green jello salad" and its the SAME as ours...
and it was epic in their household too! Must have been
a hot recipe 60 years ago..all the grandmothers of today
know about it.
2 C boiling water
1 big box lime jello
1 C mayo
1 C chopped walnuts
1 t horseradish
16 oz container small curd
cottage cheese
1 12oz can evap milk
1 20oz (?) can crushed
pineapple
Mix jello and water in big bowl
until jello is dissolved.
Mix horseradish well with mayo in
small bowl
Then add everything into the jello
and stir.
Pour into a mold if you feel fancy
or just put the bowl in fridge for a couple hours.
It's called salad but tastes like
dessert!

Pretend Oreo ice
cream sandwich
Hi Todd! This recipe comes all the way from a small town
near Baltimore, Maryland! It's great, fun to make, and easy!
The Coolwhip tastes JUST like ice cream when it's frozen,
with a lot less calroies and junk.
Ingredients:
- 1 tub of Cool Whip (or Cool Whip Lite, I prefer Lite)
- Package of Oreos, or Oreo wannabe cookies (preferably
lowfat too, because in lowfat kinds, the icing is low fat,
and the cookies are just regular)
Directions:
1. Take an Oreo and twist it so they come apart. Do this
to all of the cookies before anything else, because it's a
lot faster.
2. Take a butter knife, and either pry or scrape the
icing off (depends on what brand- some come right off, other
are more holdy on tighty) and pair the halves of cookies
together
3. Use the butter knife to scoop some Cool Whip onto ONE
of the cookies, about 1/4" thickness, and gently place the
top of the cookie on the other half, like a sandwich.
4. Repeat until all of the cookies are used up.
5. Place on a plate, and put into frezer for about 2
hours (or more, depending on softness desires)
6. While you're waiting, use the cracked cookies halves
(you might have a lot or little of these) and dip them into
Cool Whip!
7. Take them out of the freezer, and enjoy!

Hey OT
This isn't REALLY a recipe, but I
thought it was sucha fun and clever FOOD thingy, I had
to share...
Take a twizzler, the red kinds
is my prefernece, but any flavor would work...Bite off
both ends just a little and don't squish too much.
Use it as a straw to sip your
favorite beverage. I was drinking wine when I had this
flash of brilliance, not hard to believe...
Cheers!

Orange-Grown Sherbert.
Here is a great
dessert recipe that generally shocks the ladies.
Serves 2
1 Orange
1 typical bucket
of orange sherbet. If you can find sherbet with chocolate
chips, even better. (Eddy's makes it)
1 bar of
Toblerone.
Cut the orange
in half, then cut a little of the end off so the orange can
sit face up without rocking.
Scoop the orange
out of the rind.
Now add the
sherbet in the rind. Shave it flush with the top of the
rind. Repeat for the other side.
Once done, put
together and wrap in tinfoil or whatnot. And stick it in the
freezer. Do this right before dinner.... not long before!
Once done with
dinner, serve on small dish with Tolberone pieces strewn
around the dish.
This
should definitely help you get laid! It worked for me! (
<---- you can omit that if you want to.)
