Todd,

Hey my name is Chris and I'm from Carpentersville, IL.  This dish is so good I hope it reaches
some new, aspiring chefs that read your site.

This recipe was shown to me by the movie director Robert Rodriguez via youtube.

It's outstanding.

Puerco Pibil

(remember T=tablespoon and t=teaspoon)

5T whole annato seeds (Most markets carry these in their hispanic or mexican section)
2t whole cumin seeds
1T peppercorns
8 whole allspice seeds
1/2t whole cloves

Combine all spices in a coffee grinder (one that has NEVER ground coffee) and grind until you're
left with a fine powder.  Set aside.

2 Habanero chiles, remove stems, veins and seeds.  Chop chiles.
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup white vinegar
2T salt
8 cloves garlic

Place this set of ingredients into a blender along with your spice mixture and puree.  After
mixed squeeze the juice from 5 lemons and add a splash of high quality tequila and blend for another
couple of seconds.

Take 5lbs of pork butt and cut into 2in cubes and place the pork into a large ziplock bag.  Pour
the marinade you just created from scratch ontop of the pork and mix so all the pork is covered.

After lining a 9" x 13" baking pan with banana leaves, pour the pork and seasoning/marinade into
the baking pan and cover with the banana leaves.  Then cover tightly with tin foil.

Bake for 4 hours at 325 degrees and serve over rice.  The pork will be extremely tender and will
fall apart with the touch of a fork.  I hope it works out well for you!

Dear Todd,

Here's a link to a site I found http://www.hillbillyhousewife.com/

There's recipes galore for POOR PEOPLE.  No shit, this site has instructions/menus/recipes to feed a family of 4 for a WEEK for $ 45.  Yes, FORTY FIVE BUCK$ for the week.At that rate, you can afford a lot of beer to make it all taste better, right!?

Beef Stew Tacos
Hello from Chicago.  We like this because it can be prepared in about 2 minutes, and costs very little mon-ay.  It's great for a romantic evening, just add candles.

Ingredients:

1 can of beef stew
1 bag of shredded cheese
1 package of tortillas
some packages of taco bell hot sauce (optional)

Directions:

Heat beef stew on stove.  Toast tortillas on stove too.  Dump cheese and hot sauce in stew.  Use tortillas to scoop it up and gobble it down while sitting on the porch watching Twin Peaks.  Goes great with Schlitz (the beer that made Milwaukee famous).

I like these recipes because they're easy to make and very inexpensive
Especially the bean recipe- and the beans are full of tons of protein!!!
As always, I love your site!!!!

Beef flavored Ramen Noodles with Sausage

Buy the pre-cooked Polish sausage. Slice one up and put in
frying pan.

add 1 packet ramen noodles
smash it up while still in package.
empty into frying pan.
empty seasoning packet into frying pan
Add maybe 1/2 cup water at first.
Add more as needed just so it doesn't burn. I don't make soup out
of it, I just add enough water to keep the noodles moist and to heat
everything up while not burning it.

Bean Soup with Sausage

1 cup beans
2 cups water or more as needed
1 pre-cooked sliced Polish sausage

buy any kind of beans you want, get a mixture or just buy one kind
( lentils cook very quickly ) others kinds of beans can take a few hours.
but still easy to make, 'cause all you're doing is simmering them on the
stove. requires little effort.
Just don't do as I have done and forget about them!
You could also make this in the crock pot, much safer, if you're a spaz like me.
Put beans in a pot, add double the amount of water to beans, like one cup
beans, two cups water, adding more as necessary and to desired consistency.
Add slice up pre-cooked sausage.
