Hey tOdd! This is a recipe for a chocolate candy that my family always makes for Christmas.

We call them Haystacks.

Ingredients:
    1 bag of butterscotch chips
1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 bag of chow mein noodles
1 container of cashews; (you can substitute other nuts or add raisins, basically whatever little chunky things you like!)
(I didn't put sizes for these bags, because we just dump the stuff in until it looks the way we like it.....)

You melt the butterscotch and chocolate chips together. You can do this in a double boiler but usually I melt them in the microwave oven.
Stir the melting chips and blend them well.
Stir in the chow mein noodles and cashews until the mixture has a nice thickness; some people will like it with more or less noodles and cashews.
Put waxed paper on trays or plates that you can fit in your refrigerator.
Drop large spoonfuls of the mixture on the waxed paper and put the trays/plates in the fridge until the chocolate sets up.
Eat'em up!!!!

Hi tOdd,

Here's a recipe I serve every year at Thanksgiving, and my family is always begging for more.  It's adapted from a recipe the folks at Miracle Whip created.

Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip

1 c. mayonnaise
1 can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped (14 oz. can--not the marinated kind)
1 c. Swiss cheese, grated
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
1 box frozen, chopped spinach (10 oz.)
3 cloves garlic, minced

Remove the spinach from the box and cook it in a microwave-safe bowl for 7 minutes.  Remove from the microwave and squeeze the water from it.  Put it in a bowl and add all the other ingredients.  Mix thoroughly.  Put mixture into a glass pie plate and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and lightly brown.  Serve with Triscuits, Wheat Thins, or tortilla chips.

If you're taking it somewhere, you can mix everything up and pop it into the host's oven so it's hot when eaten.  Yummy!
