The Best Apple Crisp EVER!

-Take a bunch of apples (3-5) and peel 'em, core 'em and slice 'em. (It doesn't matter if they are bruised or mealy...since they get cooked)
-Spray a square glass baking pan with pam and put in the apples.

-Blend together:
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 packet of oatmeal (any flavor) or 1 c. oats from the canister
1/3 c. butter
a couple dashes of one or more of the following (whatever is in your cupboard): cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, or pumpkin pie spice
-Sprinkle mixture over the apples and bake at 350 degrees for thirty minutes or until it turns brown.
-Serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

I like it because it uses up all those darn apples that end up sitting around after you buy a big bag and eat a couple and then just look at at them there in the bowl for awhile after that, wishing you had eaten them when they were all crunchy and good. I also like it because it uses up a packet of that one flavor of oatmeal that always is leftover and sitting all lonely in the cupboard when you buy that variety pack.
