TUESDAY'S LUNCH SPECIAL IS FROM:
Trella in Bend, Oregon!
----------------------------------------
Hey tOdd. I love your site. I made something totaly yummy, and it was way easy,
so I thought I'd share it with you.
This is my recipie for 'Food'. If you really need a name, call it something
like
'hamburger and peas and noodles that taste good'
or something. I'm really bad at the
naming things like this. If you think of something,
you totaly have my seal of approval to call it whatever you want.
You need:
-a cup of rotini pasta
-1/4 pound of hamburger
-a bag of peas (how much depends on how well you like peas)
-Salt and pepper
You cook 1/2 bag (about a cup) of rotini pasta, (the curly spiraly
one) in a big pot. When it's all done, drain the pasta of all the
extra water, and leave it in the pot. Then cook 1/4 pound of
hamburger and crumble it up a lot. Then add the meat to the pasta.
What I usually do is let the noodles drain in a collander, and
cook the meat while they're in the other container, then mix them
together when the meat's done. Then when you have noodles and
meat, stir in a bag of frozen peas. Stir them untill the peas
aren't frozen any more. Then you're ready to go. Add lots of
pepper. And really, don't skimp on the salt!
I like this because it tastes really good when you make it right
and it's really SIMPLE. I mean, it's almost impossible to mess up.
And it's got lots of good things in it. Also, if you want to make
a lot of it, it's really good out of the microwave. When I make
it, I always have enough to make 2 batches too. I freeze the other
1/4lb. of meat, and store the other half of the bag of pasta, then
I can make it again next week. I usually get a few servings out of
this. And if I'm having dinner guests, I make the whole bag and
whole 1/2lb of meat. It's a really flexable recipie. And darn good
too.
Later tOdd. I'll keep reading, you keep updating, deal?
