I’m driving across the country this year and plan to post Instagrams from all sorts of places. I think it’s fun. Granted real life work obviously has taken away from my time to update this place like I used to… But to me that’s a good thing. And so is this site. If you want it ‘dead’ for some reason just delete it from your bookmarks or whatever. Sure I always promise good stuff is in the works. F–ing with you was fun at first, especially when I thought you might respond a few days later(as is the norm). Although I’m not a narcissist– you do realize that your intense focus on my every move certainly would feed that delusion for someone who suffers from that.
But please don’t waste your time typing up threats about me or my marriage or mental state or whatever (although responding like to a jackass like you is the only argument you can use that Im imbalanced). The old me who was genuinely narcissistic used to agonize and lose sleep if I thought this website wasn’t up to snuff. Or if traffic went down or if a cartoon disappointed. It was crushing. I would immediately pour energy into rescuing that perceived slide.
That old me is gone. Sorry. I sleep fine now. I of course do miss the ability to take a couple months to work on a new cartoon. Or work for hours on a new movie review to make it just right. But I’m pouring energy into my business and my writing (sold three screenplays and a pilot in the past few years)… Even if they never get made. Not shabby. Between paid cartoons and my scripts. I’m fine.
But I simply couldn’t keep up with the daily pace anymore in maintaining this site so I have made a decision to handle this place in whatever way is most comfortable for me. Take it or leave it. If something exciting picks up speed in the outside world. This place will too..
I’m sorry you’re so disappointed by my lack of commitment after solid decade of updates. But I think you’d be a better spirit to wish me success in everything I’m striving for… as I at some point was a bright shining smile in your day. Day after day. Week after week. And for you to spew your bullshit amounts to nothing more than a brat stomping his (or her) feet. Fortunately for me… you’re not my child. Good vibes to you.
But also please know… in terms of the character here. After having it as a TV show in development… a book… sold as a web series and sold as a movie script to Paramount. It was crushing that nothing led to something bigger. And I continue to fight that fight to find a home for the characters that live here. My inability to grow it bigger is a regret I’ll always keep… until I fix it and make it right. And find a home.
